In an electrical machine (especially a motor and a generator), the stator and rotor are the essential components. These two components help to build the electromagnetic force due to the interaction between them.
The generated electromagnetic force activates the rotating system in terms of electrical or mechanical energy.
Both components of the machine are inbuilt in the same machine. But, they have different functions and other specifications.
