The top institutes include the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the International Institute of Information Technology (IIITs), the National Institute of Technology (NITs), and other autonomous institutes.
- Some of the international institute conduct own entrance exam for M.Tech admission.
- Some of the central and state universities of India offer M.Tech admission on the basis of state and central universities’ common entrance test exams.
