### Measurement of Voltage or Potential Difference

Calculating the value of Voltage or Potential Difference by using two formula.

**1.** According to Ohm’s Law, voltage is measured by the electric current (I) and resistance (R).

Voltage (V)= (Current/Resistance) (Unit- Volt)

**2. **From the basic definition, the potential energy is measured by using electrical potential energy and electric charge (q).

Potential Difference (V)= (Energy/Charge) (Unit- J/C or Volt)

**3.** According to Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law (KVL), the different voltage or equivalent voltage can be determined in a circuit.

Equivalent Voltage, Ʃ (V)= (V1 + V2 + V3 + ....... + Vn) (Unit- Volt)

Thus, you can calculated the value of potential difference or voltage into the different ways from the above formulas.
